Outreach

Community outreach, with the goal of promoting cultural understanding, is key to the Global Village mission. Our store director and board members are active are in local civic organizations, where they spread the word about our store and the importance of caring for global peoples and the environment. We are also working to build connections with the local international community through MSU-Billings, Rocky Mountain College, and local cultural events.

As opportunities arise, we participate in global fundraising events such as the Rice Bowl campaign, which provides 100% of the food for children in 58 faith-based children’s homes in 9 countries. We also sell our merchandise at off-site events (e.g., holiday sales, art fairs) throughout the year to raise awareness about our store, Fair Trade principles, and vendors we strive to help.
